About Virtual Course 2020

One of the missions of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) is to achieve the reputation of a World Class University (WCU). An indicator of the achievement of the mission is the development of international academic atmosphere. In this framework, one of the contributions of School of Pharmacy is organizing summer school program, which is offered to foreign as well as local students and involves lecturers from overseas universities.

The summer school program is expected to contribute to the advancement of pharmacy as well as pharmaceutical sciences and practices through sharing of knowledge and experiences, and to promote cultural exchange among the participants. Due to the present situation, the summer course is transformed into a lecture series in Virtual Course.

The theme of the Virtual Course 2020 is “The Role of Pharmacists in Facing Global Health Problem”, which will highlight pharmacy practices related to the theme in several countries including United States, Thailand, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

ABOUT BANDUNG

Indonesia is located in the continent of Asia, specifically in Southeast Asia, covering 1,811,569 square kilometers of land and 93,000 square kilometers of water. It consists of five major islands such as Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Papua. Bandung is located in Java Islands and it is the capital city of the West Java Province. The city lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains. Bandung is classified as humid place with the average temperature between 24-28 degree Celsius.
